Skateboard

Although still 3 degrees, the sun was out today, so a couple of mates and I went for a skate, first of the year! need to get out more, was a great day after i recovered from last night... disappointingly didn't bring my camera out, still haven't learnt. However I got this close up when I got back, will definitely get a shot next time I go for a skate.

Bull, Ring

Went for a walk through the center and into the bullring to pick up Brogan from work, got a few interesting photos. Also went to hospitality last night, saw high contrast, London elektricity and skrillex. Was awesome, very tired today..

Due to cycling to lectures I sometimes find myself there a bit early...

making synthesizers for my tutorials makes me happy.. its a good life

Spent yesterday going to lectures and mainly chillin with Brogan... was a heavy night on Wednesday!

Business time

So i spent most of the 26th organizing my prints together for shop "We are Birmingham", it is my first time putting prints together for sale so there is a lot to learn, including what mounts, tape, bags to buy etc. After my meeting with them today they suggested I make a business card to put in with my prints, so spent a couple hours designing one using this picture!

After recovering from the night before, i headed to the legendary underpass where i met kay and had a little sesh,

Chillin

So saturday wasn't a great day for photos, managed to wake up at 2, then just lounged around until i head to jamies and then went out for a pub meal. did get lots of good photos yesterday though so they will be up in a sec, this shot was one of all i got, the house looking quite empty

Commute

Took a lot of photos on the 21st, the first one was out my window in my flat, lovely sunset and the curtains and soft focus give of a holga like effect,

Also got stuck in reading for 20 minutes between trains so i went for a little walk, captured this down "smelly alley"

Coming home

So over the weekend i went back home, few friends were leaving for Oz so goodbyes were needed! i left my mac charger at uni so have to catch up a few days...heres a picture of my flatmate robin from the 20th... like the sharpness

Student days

So yesterday wasn't an exciting one for me, i finished my music critical essay, then celebrated and went to the pub. This was my celebration meal

This morning wasn't too jolly.
However i thought it was a bad photo day, but i brought my disposable along and got a few in the pub. I developed it today, will upload later. Also made up for yesterday by going out for an explore today! go loads of photos and finished my first holga roll which i will develop this week :)

Decorating Essays

Today i started off by cycling into town and collecting some prints of one of my older projects, as i received a voucher from jessops for buying a lot of film, I thought I would use it to print photos and present them in my room, as its one of my most meaningful projects i created. So the results are below and I love it. Its nice to have a representation of home whilst I am at uni also. For the rest of the day i have been in writing an essay about western classical music so not many more exciting photo opportunities...

Dragons

So yesterday I went on a cycle through Birmingham to Digbeth to visit the skateshop Ideal. Its a very interesting area with lots of random sculptures and pieces of art. This one captured my attention, the lighting made it for me, and also the detail on the glass. Might come back here soon to capture more during better light!

I also took a few shots on my holga! so will be interesting to see how they turn out in the future

Reverse

So over the last month i have wanted to get more involved with shooting on film, after taking photos with my SLR for about 3 years, I realize that i want a more varied knowledge of photography and now the idea of shooting film excites me! Over Christmas i got a holga 120n, a cheap, and fun lomography toy camera, yesterday i loaded it with film for the first time and will start shooting! However my girlfriend also bought two vintage 35mm compacts, so once they are both working and loaded they should be fun to play with, exciting stuff.

Once again

spent most of the 12th monging out in bed... we it came round to dinner this is what was on the table.

So yeah i think it really is time to start getting more productive, however its 16:38 and i havent taken any photos yet today since i got out of bed at 15:30, maybe i will start tomorrow, pictures of what im eating and drinking are getting a bit old

Stereotype

Yeah so the last couple days have been great back at uni, too much slacking and drinking though.. need to get out and shoot more. hence the only thing i really studied on the 11th was this

Mixing and Mastering

First day back in Birmingham, had an assessment due in for the next day, including lots of mixing of my recorded tracks and a 2400 report. spent all my day in my room staring at multiple monitors! managed to get it done though with enough time to go down to the pub to catch up with uni friends! the only picture taken this day was robin coming in my room and pestering me with my camera..

Jetlag take 2

Spent all day of the 9th traveling from Jeddah to London, back to windlesham, then back to birmingham... very long day, captured this moment on the train, a very depressing representation of public transport.

Its a good life.

Yesterday i spent most my time by the pool and playing my neighbors beautiful guitar.. its tough being me, saudi is great! back in england today though, no more sunshine.. and plenty of mixing to do, will upload another photo later of my day!

Watersports

Jetlag

Currently typing from Jeddah, terminal five was deadly quiet on the way out. I didn't have much time to shoot but i managed to capture this empty looking scene,

Overnight flights suck, no sleep. had a nice swim though.

Went for a walk later on and came across this fountain just like one i shot in Geneva,
Annoyed with myself for not bringing my camera out but will probably go back to shoot again tomorrow! Also bought a disposable to shoot on as well, i like film shots.
