Driving through the tunnel from France to Italy! Honestly the most boring road I have been on, about half an hour of straight, dark road. Like the way this photo has turned out though. Canon AE1.

Canon AE1 First film!

After my first film from my Canon AE1 failed I was slightly worried whether it would ever work, but luckily my second roll has come out perfectly, which is great as they are all from my trip to Courmayeur in february! Took me long enough to develop them. Love the look the camera gives, especially with 50m 1.8, the depth of field on film is even nicer. Heres the first few! Mainly shot from the moving car so I am pleased they are reasonably sharp.

Easter

Hello!

I have had a bit of quiet period for my photography recently, been much too busy with work and music,

However i have just inherited a bunch of old film cameras, and will need to order some CR2's and film! will be good to play with some film again soon.

gutted my first roll of film didnt come out from my AE1, was completely black, might have been a problem with loading but will try and develop my second film soon and see if its the same, if not I want to sort it as i have heard great things about that camera!

Three weeks off uni.. need some skateboarding and photographs

2011 Feet

Went through my old photo projects folder this evening, and decided to finish off a project from 2011!

My Feet in 2011

Description: Last year I had the idea to try and capture my feet in as many memorable scenes as possible. Its a nice reminder of what I got up to that year from a different perspective. 2011 was also the first year I started to experiment with film, these pictures were taken with disposables, 35mm cameras as well as digital.

There was a few photos I wish I had captured for this, my only regrets are missing photo opportunities! May have to do this again one year.

I have also thought of an idea for a new project tonight, which I am going to start working on soon, As well as finishing another project I started last year relating to skateboarding.

I need to get my film cameras working again, having too much trouble with dying batteries and film spools not loading properly!

That will be my snow until next year!

Courmayeur

Had a great few days away skiing in Courmayeur and Chamonix, and there are plenty of photos to go through! I have uploaded a few from the first trip up the gondola in the morning from the bottom of the mountain, and a couple of the views over the valley right from the top. Beautiful.

Had a crazy week since I've been back, practising & recording for my band, skateboarding in the sun, shooting loads of photos and a couple of great nights out! things aren't so bad.

Snow Time

Its hard to miss that it is incredibly cold at the moment, there are hundreds of people to remind me on Facebook that it is definitely below freezing.

Although I think things are just going to get colder for me!

Going to Courmayeur, Italy in about a weeks time. Very excited for a short break! Mostly as well so I can get back into shooting more travel shots and using my Canon AE1.

Things are definitely looking up

Progress

Hello!

Had a bit of a dry spell for my photography the last couple weeks, I need to finish my AE1 film! I have been focusing a lot more on my music though which is realllll good.

However I have just about finished my website now, aside from a few tweaks it is done!

Its long overdue but I am excited to have something official going and hopefully have a good year with lots of work!

More?

I have finally developed my disposable from the last couple months and my trip to Saudi,

Which means even MORE pictures from the desert, I really went photo crazy that week.

Here are two of my favourites below:

The winding roads up through the mountains to get to city Taif from the desert. A beautiful scene that proved hard to capture due to frequent baboon attacks...

There aren't many occasions in my life when I am up for a sunrise photo, but I made it for one this day, its worth getting up early to get a flat sea for wakeboarding! I loved the way the sun creeped up through the trees and made the volleyball net glow in this scene.

Startin Busy

Made it back to brum today, it does worry me driving through Birmingham with my lives possessions in the back of the punto!

Had an awesome christmas break, and ended it with shooting a very fancy, fancy dress party hosted in the Royal Ascot Grandstand. It was a great night, I have two full CF cards waiting to be sorted!

I need to get on and develop a film or two, so I will be uploading them soon!

For the mean time I have a lot of editing, essay writing, beat making, revising, band practising, website finishing and many other things to be doing

New Year

Hello!

Had an amazing last few days in London celebrating the end of the year with some great people!

Bought some film for the AE1 so will work on my first roll over the next couple weeks..

The OFFICIAL launch of my new website will be very soon, which I am sure will lead to plenty of weddings booked for this summer... hopefully.

I have linked a picture below as a sample of things to come.

2012 is going to be good.

Keep posted for more updates this week

The last ones

Currently in Bishops Stortford with all the family, been a good couple days, especially with seeing my new baby cousin Zach!

I have just uploaded the last 3 photos from Saudi, really enjoyed going through them, definitely the most interesting trip for photography I have ever had! I am much too lucky

Can't wait for what new year will hold for my photography, think I might work on a collage of my favourites from the year and upload soon!

One last picture from the food market of Taif. I was fascinated by their displays, and the way each owner of the stall sat within their fruit on the stand.

Strangely enough this image is one of my favourites from the trip. I only realised after looking over it a few weeks after taking it. I think the way (my dad) is standing so out of place and lost in the middle of vast desert makes for an interesting and random photo. I love the way he is posed and i feel it creates a strong representation of your typical expat situation, a western man out of place in an Arab country.

I captured this scene just as we were leaving for the car to go home. A Shepard wandered past us with his flock of sheep, slowly they all followed him through the desert. You can see them here walking off into the distance. This last scene really had an impact on how we forget the way people still live their lives, this mans day to day routine including rounding up his sheep in the desert.

Got a new Canon AE1 for christmas, look out for a lot of shots with that over the next year!

The Local

Went through a few shots today from a quick a stop at a local fruit market near Taif in Saudi Arabia.

I loved this little place, full of exotic fruits and crazy lighting.

Here are my top three shots,
